Clive Griffiths

Clive Griffiths was a Welsh defender from Pontypridd who developed at Manchester United and made seven first-team appearances for the club. He also gained Football League experience on loan at Plymouth Argyle before joining Tranmere Rovers in 1975.

Griffiths spent two seasons at Prenton Park, a period that included the 1975–76 promotion campaign, and also had loan spells in the North American Soccer League with Chicago Sting. He later continued his career in the United States with Chicago, Tulsa Roughnecks, Chicago Horizon and Kansas City Comets, captaining the Comets.
